Winnie-The-Pooh’s Name Appears In Epstein Files & People Are Confused

Of all the high-profile people who might be in the Epstein files, no one was expecting to see Winnie the Pooh. The beloved bear has not been accused of wrongdoing. Still, though, seeing Jeffrey Epstein with an innocent cartoon character that brought many of us comfort during childhood is deeply unsettling.

Photos of Winnie the Pooh (and even Piglet) with Epstein have gone viral on social media, and people are both confused and appalled.

People truly couldn’t believe it.

On X, one person shared the photo of Winnie the Pooh with Epstein and captioned it with, “NOOOO WINNIE THE POOH IS IN THE EPSTEIN FILES 💔.” In response, fans of the Disney character said they were “devastated,” with one person writing, “This photo just ruined my childhood.”

According to Inside the Magic, it seems that the photo was taken at the Crystal Palace restaurant inside Walt Disney World Resort. The family-friendly restaurant is known for its character breakfasts. Winnie the Pooh and his friends regularly interact with guests, taking photos with them and signing autographs. The image of Pooh and Epstein seemed to be the typical photo that any tourist would take, and people found it disturbing.

“OH NAHHHH NOT WINNIE,” someone on X reacted. A second person wrote, “Now I can’t trust anyone.”

To make it even worse, an image of Epstein and Piglet started circulating.

After the Pooh photo went viral, people had more disappointing news to share: Pooh’s best friend, Piglet, also appeared to be pictured with Epstein. “PIGLET NOT YOU TOO!!! 😭” an X user captioned the photo. And while the photo left people worried that Eeyore and Tigger could be found posing alongside Epstein as well, others were more disturbed by the fact that Epstein had been spending time at Disney World. One Redditor pointed out that this detail actually “makes it uniquely disgusting.”

Some people online have wondered why the Winnie the Pooh photo was included to begin with. Redditors described it as a potential “distraction” meant to “desensitize” people. Initially, the Justice Department had a December 19 deadline for the release of all the records related to Epstein, but not all the docs were released that day. On Wednesday, December 24, the Justice Department said it’s reviewing over a million more documents that could be related to the Epstein case. Reviewing and releasing the documents is expected to take “weeks,” CNN reported.
